They are known by me as "tic-tacs" until we know what we have... they got outside for a wee bit the other day, at first they were like.. eek! then they settled right down. Demanding little buggers though, never raised such a needy duckling before.

How old are they? Mine are either the same size or a little bigger and I wasn't sure if I could let them outside for a bit

That's because to a predator they would be considered finger food where our full size ducks are the main meal, they know in their lil hearts they would get eaten first. Poor wee things. They are adorable GQ, what are you gonna do with them? just sit around petting them?

LOL, well good question! i have had them now for 9 days so they are 9-10days? i actually never asked when i bought them, i knew they were between 1-3 days old.. i'd lean likely more towards the 1-2.

If your weather is good and you have a safe place to pen them while you watch, they can go out. Mine weren't out long, but it was sunny, clear and over 70F you have to watch to see how they behave plus be prepared to bring them in. I would use extreme caution with penning as they are so wee and can squeeze through the darnest spots.

LOL.. such a handful, they are massively spoiled. Gonna stick them outside with me while i un-bury the garden(ie; rescue it from the weeds)

Happy digging! if you come across any worms you'll probably hear " me- me toss them to me"

LOL, well they foraged a wee bit, one of the scovies came by that worried them, the barn cat decided they looked good, he's great with birds just not wee ones... i shooed him and the duck away. It went ok though but they definitely wanted me in eyesight but i did manage to tackle a fare bit of the garden, i found hosta i didn't know i had lol
