I stated drawing horses befor I can remember. the way mom says it, it was like every little mark was a horse. I like to do bulls, dogs, chickens and horses the best, but I'll try to do just about any thing these days.

fyi: the cochin pair was the first time I painted chickens

I Love it !!!!!!!!!!!! I am also a realist artist (student) I love doing farm/rural life and animals. I have a post in this section, asking for pics. I have also been drawing my whole life and I started painting not quite a year ago. I have a few pics of my work on the camera that I'll try to get loaded and show you.

Very nice pictures! That bull looks so realistic. I'm not too great at drawing horses or other 'long faced' animals like cows and dogs. Cats are the complete opposite from long nosed and yet I can't draw them much either :p I guess I was just born to draw birds and not much of anything else.

the rooster is just as good as the bull, but we wanted to see if the scaner we have would do a good job, it did not. I have a really cool water color I did, and it looked so nasty

I love seeing other peoples work, it makes me want to do another one every time

OK here's some I of my works that I got uploaded,

For an artist to stay relativly sane, we have to remember that we will never get anything photograhicly perfect, which is always hard for me when I try to be a perfectionist, I'm really hard on myself with my own work.

Here are two quotes that help me sometimes.

"Have no fear of perfection ~ you'll never reach it " and " A painting is never finished ~ it just stops in an interesting place", any other artists can understand what I mean here.

So here are my works, as I said earlier, I love farm/rural life and animals.

This is a painting I did from a picture in a magazine, I actually did this in one sitting in about 2 hours. The pic is a little distorted from croping.

Hers's a little deer, still needs a litte more work.

I also love old barns

And a hay field, the foreground still needs a little work also.

These will be used in my AP Portfolio.

Thanks
