Some of my Babies are Sleeping

I ordered 25 Cornish x rocks today. Two died from stress. The rest were eating and drinking fine. Now, some of them are sleeping in a pile under the light........is that OK?

Don't know if they're tired or stressed. Never had this kind of chick before.

yea chicks will sleep its normal.

mtnhomechick, If they are all crowded under the light they may be cold. However if its only a few and they are not on top of each other they are fine. Some like it a little warmer. I am sorry you lost some. Keep up the good work. The rest should be just fine.

Mine are 6 weeks old now and in their coop. they have slept on top of one another since the day I got them! Heat or no heat..they always sleep on top of each other.

They will sleep a LOT during the first 3-4 days...just like human babies. Eat, sleep, poop!
