BBB's Lucky Sr. (Head Silkie Roo)
We call him that because he stared at the face of death twice and never batted an eye. When he was a chick he was attacked by a dog, his chest was crushed and he had a huge hole in his breast. We didn't think he'd make it threw the first night but he did. That was 3 years ago...
Two years ago a fox got into our silkie pin and killed all of our silkies... so we thought. We found Lucky Sr. the next day unharmed, it was a miracle.
Lil' Lucky (Son of Lucky Sr. and official BBB Spokeschicken)
He was named Lil' Lucky because he looks just like his dad but cuter, lol.
Squiggy (D'Uccle Roo)
He was one of my favorite roosters, very photogenic and loved attention. He loved to have his chest rubbed and if you didn't pay him any attention he'd make this funny noise. Sadly Squiggy died a few months back when something got after him. He was one of our free roaming chickens and something killed him one night. I think it was a bobcat because it scared Yozie our Labrador Retriever (Chicken Guardian) half to death, she wouldn't leave the porch to guard the chickens for a week after the attack.
