Penelope is a sweetheart, she has never had a problem with her beak. We thought at the very least that we would have to take her to the vet because her beak was getting a little too long, but a few days later we noticed that the tip had broken off itself
She is a fighter, I know that is why she survived. She was never underweight, never had trouble eating. She will beat up her sisters if they try to steal her food
She refuses to be called disabled
I do still spoil her though. I will hand feed her earthworms and crickets because she takes to long to pick them up off the ground and the big girls get to them before she can. She doesn't beat them up, they are pretty mean to the young girls
I was so excited, the day I took the pictures, she sort of half squatted for me! So she will be laying soon! She is a Maran, so hopefully her eggs will be pretty dark
