I made a couple simple weatherproofing upgrades to my coop and run to help keep the moisture and the drafts away. If you are having trouble with either, these might help.
First I bought some door sweeps to make some weatherstripping to keep the drafts out of the coop. Most of the door gaps are pretty small but a couple of them were fairly large. Water intrusion hasn't been an issue at all in the coop, so the main concern was minimizing drafts. I just cut them to length and screwed them to the door.
I also added some drip edge to the back of the run to help keep the rain from dripping into the back side of the coop and soaking the straw. It seems to work pretty well. It's pretty wet outside today and the chickens are outside rolling in the hay and the dirt.
I plan on doing a pretty major redesign to my run area come spring and some slight modifications to the coop as well. Still this setup works pretty well and will get me through the winter.
