Some sort of black EE about 11 weeks old

Pretty sure..if not pure, then mixed and she got the tufts. Are her legs green toned? If not legs..then bottom of feet?
Any mix is considered an Easter Egger, I think. They also have a high mortality lethal gene.

It looks more like an Ameraucana if anything, rather than an araucana.

But I could definitely be wrong! It's just if they say it's an potential EExCochin, then I think it's unlikely they ended up with an Araucana.

Here's the standard. http://www.araucana.net/black-araucana-apa-and-aba/ It has pictures if you scroll down.

Hopefully I'm not being rude! It just doesn't look like one to me. I may very well be wrong, though. You've been a member for much longer than I have!

Her legs are blackish.

Maybe she is a BBS ameraucana? The breeds I were told they could be were BBS cochin line mixed with pure BBS ameraucana. Although she looks very much like pure ameraucana. She has a tail but it is very short which had me worried she was a roo for awhile.

At that age, EE pullet. :)

Not an Araucana or Ameraucana

Not ANY mix is considered an EE, but I do agree with the second statement. I see no recent Araucana blood in this bird.

@cherrynberry why not ameraucana? I don't care, just curious. And happy she looks to be a pullet.
If she were sold as a mutt, I would expect a mutt. I also see some leakage on her face. Doubt you will “accidentally” buy a pure AM.
No fluffy feet. Maybe a little smaller but I don't think bantam. The other black one that I got from this farm is definitely part Cochin.View attachment 3071819
Her “sibling” is also a mutt, so it’s likely they don’t breed AMs. And if they do, they wouldn’t sell it as a mutt.

This bird is a mixed breed cockerel btw. :)

Oh I know lol. I have 3 little cockerels. Hoping no more are late bloomers. I have one other in question that is an unknown breed. Was suppose to be a salmon faverolle but isn't.
