some sort of spray to help prevent infection on bald spots?

i have an overpreening chicken who we can’t get to stop. at this point we’re letting her preen and just making sure to prevent injury/infection. she has a dress on so she doesn’t get sunburnt on her back but she lifts it up to preen still. my dad is worried about an infection and wants a spray for her back. a rub wouldn’t be great since she’s pretty skittish. we think she must’ve been abused at her old home or just have anxiety or something. (we got her from down the road after a fox got our neighbours other hens and she was the only survivor so she definitely could just be traumatized) something we could make would be preferred since we’re in canada so can’t get a lot of chicken sprays and stuff and if we can they’re crazy expensive. i also like to know what’s going into whatever i give them.
