Somebody crowed this morning

Good morning! So these past two mornings, we heard the distinctive although pitiful attempt of a cockadoodledoo at about 6:45. These “girls” will be 7 weeks old on Monday. No one stands out as a rooster to me yet except the silver Wyandotte who dislikes being picked up very much. The rest are all super cuddly. The only 2 that aren’t in the pic are a cream Legbar and cuckoo maran who I definitely think are hens. I know it’s early, but any thoughts? I can post more pics and some of the other 2 who were being camera shy. But just looking for your opinions. The girls in the pic are a buff, chocolate and blue Orpington. A green queen, Welsummer, blue copper Maran, splash Maran, and the silver laced Wyandotte.

The buff looks like it could be a cockerel. But it's hard to see them properly. Better and more pictures would be a help

The Buff Orpington looks a bit suspicious. I have a couple of 12 week old Buff Orpingtons and their comb and wattles are still very pale. Wait for other to weigh in though.

My guess would be the Buff Orp, based on comb and wattles development/color (but I'm no expert)!

I agree with everyone else. The buff Orpington is the only bird in that picture that looks like a potential cockerel.

Oh my goodness! The buff is the sweetest and most cuddly of all of them, so I hope if it’s her she stays that way. Or he does. Lol. I’ll post more pics in a bit. Thanks for your input so far.

It's not be sweet and cuddly, if it's a he, he's showing you boldness and disrespecting your person.
