Someone Complained, Chickens Must Go -- Joliet, IL

If they dont let you keep them after everything you are doing to try keep them, then that person must be soo heartless!

I am in NJ but signed for you, I also posted it on my FB page. Good luck, I hope you can keep your chickens!!!!!!! Jackie

I asked you on the other thread, but you must have missed it. If you have a Plainfield address, you may be unincorporated Joliet, Troy township. It's possible you bought your house and weren't told that. Much of the older part of Longleat is unincorporated, as is some of 59. If so, Joliet has no say over what you can or can't do in your yard.

I thought we were in Unincorporated Will County, but the City of Joliet sent the notice. We pay taxes to both Joliet and Plainfield. Also, I thought Joliet would be more lenient considering it's a bigger city and Chicago allows them. If you walk beyond my back yard, you're in unincorporated Will, but they are having problems of their own with chickens.

I really really love these little gals and will hate to see them go.
