Someone dropped a box of 17 chickens at the end of our driveway... Hayes, VA

Frizzles, polish, silkies, bantams, Welsummers, etc...

We were able to catch six, but the rest are quicker. Why would someone do that? Anyone in Virginia know of someone doing this? Any ideas on how we can catch the rest?

Our gravel driveway is about 1/4 of a mile. It's almost like someone knew we had chickens, but if they did why not just offer them?

They should naturally be drawn to your chickens and the potential for feed. You can always try some treats to flush them out. Once it gets dark, you should be able to pick them up off their roosting spot.

Maybe the Easter Bunny over slept and had a situation on his hands?

The ones we caught look very healthy besides being a little dirty and having a few peck marks. We have them quarantined in our smaller coop.
