Also, consider posting on Craig's List, I know someone who found a free duck on their site.

Thanks for the info but I am involved in dog rescue groups and there are animal abusers on craigslist an Kijiji. Not saying all, but I am overly careful. The lady who wanted the duck suggested this site when I met her so I am hoping she sees the ad. Thank you though.

I hope you are able to find a good home for the duck. Have you considered keeping her? I've never had ducks but they look like a lot of fun (I'm a chicken person).

I have a pond but I think someone was mean to it, it is very skiddish so I have the poor thing cooped up. I am scared to let it out of its area for fear a wolf might get him if we can't catch him again. I also have a dog that has been too interested in it. Plus I have no idea what it needs, it is better off with a pro.

It's a female Muscovy, and unless her wings are clipped, she can fly!

I looked at the picture again, and it looks like it might be young, so it's probably not flying yet, and it's possible that it is male... hard for me to sex them just from pictures when they're young.
