Your bound to get "found out" lol Love it! If she's a photographer you would think she has MANY ways to get photos of HER birds don't ya think? Crazy people. She just wants to sell her chicks and her birds prob don't look nearly as good.

One does not have to formally *copyright* all your photos. If it should come to a court case, you having the original high resolution image is evidence that it is YOUR photo. Watermarking and the symbol are basically just warnings to discourage people.
The main consideration of copyright cases that make it to court is "is there financial gain or loss" involved.
It is really courtesy and honesty that you don't use something without reference and/or permission, but the way this world is going...who knows. Kids these days think everything on the internet is fair game.

Reference: I work in an educational print setting and have occasion to consult with a copyright expert on a fairly regular basis.

This is becomming more and more a problem, isn't it? I just saw a add for "4 chickens" on my local craigslist... he flat out says. "these aren't my chickens, but look like them" And one picture was of a stuffed animal chicken!

I think this particular "4 chicken" person is just ignorant and doesn't realize they are stealing... but I think there are alot of scam artists out there using this chicken boom to make some money. I have even heard that on eggbid there is one particular person who steals you pics, then sells "POL hens" (and you know shipping is high for those size birds) and never sends anything because they never had the chicken to begin with!!! Now, when that buyer sees your pictures they assume you are a scammer too! You all just reminded me to do another google search for my breeds. I put in "Delaware Hen/chick/chicken/roo/duo/ect" and see if any of the photos are mine but being used by someone else. I suggest everyone go check right now.

I keep seeing people posting other breeder pictures on their craigslist adds and it really irritates me. I guess, to me, using someone elses photos is dishonest in quite a few ways. number one, you are falsly advertising someone elses birds as your owne and number two, You are lying to any of the costumers you may be getting.
Hopefully someone will top that person soon!
