No bruising and no chirping. When I candle from up top I can’t see anything it’s darkAny bruising on the shell like the other had? Do you still hear chirping? If you candle from the top down, holding the lamp above the egg instead of below it, how does it look? Can you see inside anywhere other than the air cell?
I don’tDo you see any movement along the edge of the aircell?
Yeah it stays in the same place, no rolling around or movement. I also have to go to work tomorrow till about 4pm and I’m worried to leave the new duckling in the incubator and the one that hasn’t hatched with out making the air hole and not being there to superviseGood, if you could see from the top I'd assume it was dead, so not seeing anything as far as I know is good news. Does the egg stay in whichever way you place it down, it doesn't roll to the one side?
But day 30 and with the other egg already hatched, I would try to make a safety hole in the air cell, see if it triggers movement or chirping. If still no sign of life after a couple hours with the safety hole, carefully pick off a bit of shell (about pinky finger nail sized) and humidify the membrane to check for veins.
