hey,
I'm new to the board, and needing help too!
Back in the '70's our maid told me that to help a chick that couldn't use it's legs to put it in a sling so the legs touch the ground and to spoon feed it buttermilk. That's what my lovely Sally told me! My chick had drowned by then but I was wanting to know something about what was going on. I was raised in rural Alabama. Raised many chickens. Good luck and just make he/she comfortable.
I have some older New Hampshire girls. Last month one girl wouldn't roost. I was in FL for my kids spring break and my hubby found her dead in the pen. Now her sister is doing the same thing. She won't roost and she is also not eating and has a poopy butt. She's about 5 years old. These are the first New Hampshire's I've raised. any help would be appreciated.
