My chicks are 3 weeks old and my Americauna got stuck in the little food feeder...and i found her barely breathing and her wing looks like it is broken, Her eyes are closed and looks like she is dying! CAN I SAVE HER???? I dipped her beak in water and put her in her favorite sleeping spot. Please help me! I don't want her to die. She is my little baby.

Thanks. I'm really hoping she pulls through.

We had a chick that we thought may have broken her leg, or at least tore some ligaments, at one week of age. She got her back toe stuck in a nylon zip tie higher up in the brooder box, and was hanging upside down and nearly passed out when we found her. When we got her down, her leg was sticking straight sideways and we thought for sure she was a goner.

After a few hours, she started using her leg normally and she recovered but did lose the back bit of her back toe.

Don't give up on the chick yet. Make sure she gets fluids (Save-a-chick, pedialite, gatorade, or sugar water). Keep her warm. I hope some smarter people than me can give advice on the wing.

Thank you very much. I kept her warm, gave her some pedialyte, but she just didn't make it. I'm so upset. It was such a freak accident. Thank you for replying.
