Someone rescued a slaughterhouse silkie! Now what?

I'm not sure if it goes into chicken territory, but I've rescued many animals and they all seem to have the rescue mentality. They all seem to be thankful for the rescue and they behave wonderfully.

It's a cute chicken....makes me want to keep silkies.

she is a cutie but Quarentine!!! the live poultry processors have all sorts of nasty diseases spreading, although it does not usually matter as the chooks are getting eaten. looks like a nice white pullet, very cute, but seperate immediatly from air space with your flock.

I hate silkies, but she is pretty..........for a silkie. Make sure everyone in the house wears tin foil hats.

We are taking her inside at night and keeping her in a cage inside, since the pen we have her in outside is not raccoon-proof. Never thought I'd have a house chicken!

I love her! I'm almost 100% sure it is a hen. She is so lucky to have found a loving, non-silkie eating person
