Someone using my website pictures

I just went and read the ad and at the bottom of the paragraph it says "I can take another picture if needed. "

Maybe they should of tried that in the first place.

Post an add called "RE-Hens- Speckeled Sussex Trio"

An have it say "Take another one? How about the first one. That one is copyrighted an stolen from {website}"

I had someone use my pics once before. This person had purchased birds from me and thought it was "OK" to use MY pics since they purchased birds from me(this was not pics of the birds they purchased). It was a mess, I then had people wondering if the pics were actually mine because they had seen the pic in that persons ad.

That's terrible. A lot of people, though, think all photos on the 'net are free to use. It's possible that he doesn't have a camera, but wanted an example of that breed so he took one of your photo. I think people are ignorant in regards to copyright and the 'net, or they think they're not going to get caught. Certainly doesn't make it right or excusable for him to do that.

What you might want to do, though, is put your website address as a watermark or banner over your photos. That way, at least, if someone uses them, they have your site address and could draw traffic your way.
