I ran outside cause I heard all this banging around. We had set a trap with a taco from taco bell. and the trapped is moved in totally different way and the taco is gone, what the heck?!

Was the trap surrounded by little Chihuahua footprints?

I take it this was a live trap. If so it was to small for the animal that got the taco. Try a larger trap. What most likely happened was the animal was able to reach the taco while its body was under the gate. As it hit the trigger and the gate released, it fell on the back of the animal. This enabled the animal to get out of the trap.
