Something caught in duck's throat...?

It could now just be swelling from having something rough stuck in its throat. But if something is still stuck you will want it taken out. You may be able to feel it if you feel his throat again. If not, my guess it is just swelling at this point, but I am not a vet so I can't say for sure. You could try aspirin or ibuprofen.

Does the crop shrink over night? Impaction would be another worry if swallowed wood chunks. But if his crops is not hard and is still going down each night, that is unlikely.
You give your ducks aspirin or ibuprofen? How much do you give and how?

Quatie, He is doing better for a while now. Sorry I did not mention it. I gave him a couple days worth of vetRX and don't know if that helped or not but within a few days he did stop with the clunking and the high pitched hussing. He also was introduced to his two new female friends. Could that have "cured" him?! Maybe. He seems pretty happy go lucky of late but I do need to post yet another call for help, as his mating practice has me worried about the girls.

That is good he seems to be doing better. Hopefully it was just his throat finally had time to heal.

What is going on with mating that has you worried?
