Hi to all that attented the swap meet-up. I sold all the Austrolorps and Chocolate Orpington Bantams that I took to the swap. I sold all of my Phoenix Bantam and Ohiki that I took. I needed to take more. But I was not sure how they would go over. Ohiki, Phoenix Bantam and Cochin Bantams are Not exactly what all the farmers want around where we live.

I love Phoenix Bantam and Ohiki. They are nothing like Cochin Bantams and I love Cochin Bantams too. Thank you to everyone whom bought my Mille Fleur Cochin Bantams at $2.00 each. I plan on doing the same this coming weekend. Where I live I have not come across any farmers are interested in fowl that do not lay extra large eggs. They have asked for heavy large layers so large a hawk can not carry off and meat fowl. I had none of that. So that is something I need to make room for to get an audience for my Chickens where I live.

Hawk have picked up and carried off Our little darlings right before our eyes as we scream in horror. I have not found any interested in Small ornamental fowl especial pullets and hens with spurs! Mine don't have but a lady where some of my stock came from has girls with spurs.

I came back home with all the roosters that I left with. All 8 of them. I will try again this weekend. Three were Ameraucana beautiful but we had just as many roos hatch as we had girls hatch. Keeping the girls and kept one roo. The roos obviously do not lay eggs but the do carry the blue egg gene.
Still have all the 3 Cochin Bantam Roos to find new homes and two D'UCCLES. They do not seem disapointed at all.

They hit the ground running and squawking like we have never heard out of them when we got home and opened their cages on Saturday afternoon. It was the funniest site we had seen of them! I don't think we will be able to trick them into the boxes next weekend we are in trouble! If anyone has ideas we are open to suggestions.

Since chickens are very smart but with no consience we plan on spending at least twice as much time boxing them up next weekend as we did this weekend.

I was surprised by a woman that ran over an peeped and said that said phoenix Bantam and Ohiki if they have wattles and are not egg laying they then they are males. I just smiled at her. Smile is all I could do. Have you experience on your type and breed and the other person had never even seen a Phoenix Bantam or Ohiki before and they are telling me some of my girls that were laying eggs were males and not laying yet. The fact is Ohiki are VERY small. The true drawf of the chicken world. My full grown were the size of her chicks. I would think when a person gets home and takes the time to look them up would have egg on their face. I just smile. What do you think?

I don't know about egg on the face and all that, but a duck waddles as it walks. What chickens have under their beaks are wattles.
LoL what was I thinking? Oh course your right and I am wrong and I made a mistake. Too much going on all around me when I wrote it and not thinking clearly. How right you are! Funny one.

When I get back hime I will show my husband. He has a complaint about my typos and all out mistakes. I type so fast on my iphone and radio blaring as I talk to others and tippy tap out to others in cell phone land. I wonder what all Else I wrote wrong! I bow to you.
