Thanks. I’ve washed it with a solution of water and peroxide. I’m new chicken Mom and have no clue how take care of emergencies

He’s up and about. Eating and drinking. Yay!

I think your sweetie will be fine. How does the gash look when you part the feathers? I would apply antibiotic ointment without painkiller, too.
I think it was the cat. When my sister was staying with us, her cat reached under the door and scratched our bunny who was exercising in the hallway. Sharp claws!

I’m scared to pick it up and look. I’m scared I’ll hurt it. I’ll look tomorrow. Do you think she’ll grow her normal tail and lay eggs

I think she will be find too. You can put a little BluKote on the wound to help hide to redness, then put her back with the other chicks.
