Less advise needed and more mourning. My hen Mink was in quarantine for potential gout, but after meds and electrolytes she was practically back to normal yeserday. I was hopeful we'd be able to inergrate her back in the flock today or tomorrow, but this morning she was dead, feathers everywhere and dig marks by the cage. Feeling so heartbroken, after being truly hopeful that she was recovering only to loose her to some mystery predator.

I’m so terribly sorry. They take such a huge part of us. She was a gorgeous lady and knew nothing but your love and care in her last days. I hope you can find a bit of comfort in her pictures and memories. :hugs

Thank you, it always surprises me just how it impacts me. Even with one's I didn't own, they're just special little animals.

They really are. I couldn’t have said it better.

Just know that of the world’s most poorly treated species, you gave at least one a good, loving home and that makes a difference. In time, may you find it in your heart to share your home with more as your heart heals.

Also, I just saw you’re new, welcome to the site.
