JMO - but I think if it was a coon or possum, the welded wire would have been noticeably stretched out, where something worked its way through, because it does have some flexibility

Be sure to check all you fastening points on your vents and wire to make sure a corner has not come loose and allowed something to push thru. Also check it you don't have a rusty broken piece of wire or a hole in the floor of the coop

Not likely it a weasel but a mink or larger perdator could be you culprit. The hardware cloth should resolve the issue and be sure to stake the trap down solid and that the trap has small enough holes to prevent a coon from reaching thru the side and stealing the bait.
