Something got into our coop last night

Minks are very deadly, and I had one that easily passed through my 2 by 4 inch welded wire. I watched it slip through as if there was no barrier, right after it went on a major terror spree.

* Possum move fast enough when they're being chased with a stick!! But, you're prob'ly right b/c they usually are reluctant to leave on their own before they finish what they came for. I hope your hen makes it. Recovery takes a long time, usually, where an eye is involved. BTDT.

Please be mindful that those traps can catch other animals as well as the culprit(s).

Update:

The hen died last night, and whatever got into the coop hasn't returned for seconds. I'll continue setting the traps at night for a while.
