I have 4 royal palm males, and 3 females. I was at my moms daughter #4, closed up coops. In the morning she says mom, something got a female. of course, Either the turkey was in the barn laying, and my daughter didn't see her, or whatever got her, did it in early evening. I have 15 chickens, so maybe she ran. All that was left was feathers, full size royal palm female. I have a pyrenees, I now lock her in the barnyard at night. She is not happy. So an Owl? a fox couldn't drag that turkey through a fence. My dog wouldve smelled coyote. Dog sleeps during the day, that's why I thought it was a daytime kill. It's amazing. I have muscovies, they are not my favorite, but nothing bothers them, the couple of times, they have hidden at night. I do not know how to protect my birds. Barn is old, things can crawl under.

With that many toms and that few hens, it is possible that the predator just cleaned up a hen that was killed by the toms. You need to make sure that only one of the toms has access to those hens or you will be losing all of them.
