Something I need to know.

This 8ft by 20ft layout I’ve got together looks plenty big enough. I chickens only go to the coop at night time bc they roam the backyard during the day

if that 8x20 is both coop and run, then that's not big enough for 30 birds. If it's just coop, then you have enough coop space for 30, but not enough run space.

I wish I could build something like that but I’m trying to build the coop inside my fenced in yard bc I have neighbors and dogs that people don’t keep a leash on. My ducks and chickens are my babies. Got fainting goats in the works to. With all the farm animals I have you’d think that I lived on a farm
If your getting hens in a already fenced I would say build them a home and get yourself max 5 hens maybe 10 or maybe even go lower my one main question what are you using these hens for?

Cause if your using hens for eggs you can’t just have hens you also need a rooster
Nope, I have four hens and get four eggs a day, not a rooster in sight.
and that means having to build him a separate area
Roosters shouldn't need to be separated from hens. Also, if you had a rooster that is separated from them, how is the rooster supposed to help them lay eggs?

I use my hens for eggs. Get 10 eggs a day without a rooster in site.
