something is taking our eggs

Chickens are in coup and are fenced in. Dogs live beside coup and are fenced in. No tracks in snow, yet eggs keep going missing. Straw is pushed out of boxes and found 2 on the floor. About 7 missing the last 3 months!!!!!!! Anyone had this happen to them? Thanks gliz

A few things come to mind - hens are not laying due to molt/season, an egger in your coop (one or more of the chickens) or a rodent (rat) who might be stealing eggs.

Some questions that might help:

How old are your girls, how many, are they molting, is their coop floor dirt, do you add lighting for winter, what is the protien in their feed?
