So, we have this little hen, Rosie. For the past couple weeks, she's been kinda off. She's stopped laying and stuff and has been slowly losing weight. I thought it was because of her moulting.
Well, I went outside earlier, and she came over to me and just STOOD THERE. Just staring at me. I tried to shoo her off, but she wouldn't budge. I noticed she was standing weird - she looked kind of all puffed up and like a quail. So, I took her inside and tried to feed her. THEN, I noticed that a drop of clear liquid came outta her beak. I set her down and let her hop around a bit, but noticed that she was STILL standing weird, with her butt really far down and kind of upright-ish with her head scrunched in. I turned her over and there was a weird smell coming from her butt, but I didn't really investigate much.
When my mom came home, she turned her over to clean up her butt and see what was the matter, and a flood of yellow-ish clear liquid just came flowing out of her mouth. She seems fine, all except for the weird butt smell, the weird position, and the liquid. She's eating tofu right now in the bathroom, but I can't take her up to the warmer bathroom because I don't want my little chickens to get sick. So.. Any ideas? I haven't seen her poop at all, but she is eating ravenously the last time I checked.
Any guesses would be WONDERFUL. And how to treat her.
