Seems to have kept the predator out in that instance and held up to some pretty decent force.

They mentioned blood in the coop, which I assume is inside the wire enclosure.

I've had raccoons kill birds through chicken wire. Couldn't tell that by the look of the wire but parts were on both sides. Maybe it works like a cheese slicer? Sorry thats kInd of graphic but those trash pandas are brutal killers

Exactly, have you ever watched a raccoon eating grapes?

Also, my fil traps raccoons and I went up to one of the cages and was like poor little guy. It was like.

So sorry for your loss. I agree with The Moonshiner. I have chicken wire up and also electric wires around my coops and pens and nothing has penetrated. I have several game cameras up around on on my property and most nights when they roam here I see a predator on at least one camera and often times multiple cameras. My suggestion would be to put up a camera and then you will know what you're dealing with because it will be back. Good luck...

Thanks, yes they do its just not in the photo. I also found a few drops of blood in the coop so I was wondering if it was pulled out its coop while sleeping or what.

You may go and fix up your coop and fence to be more predator proof. If a young kid can get into the coop, and raccoon probably can too. My coop has a small padlock on the latch so I know raccoons can’t open it
