Protective layer of hardware cloth going under the ground and then curving out.

I've used hardware cloth ,chicken wire,old shelves,sheet metal,boards and cinder blocks around my runs and coop to keep everything out. It you put a layer of gravel down on the ground and pack it down tight they can't tunnel thru that.It collapses before they get it dug out.
