Looks like a baseball bat hit, to me.

The way the wire bent inwards would signal some kind of an impact to me as well. I'd think if something was chewing at it the wire would be pulled outwards. Now whether that impact was from a UFO or an animal hopefully your cam might be able to confirm that one.
