Thanks for the tag! I love memorizing verses! They always just stuck in my mind after saying them like 3 times! I may or may not already have it memorized!

I wish my memory was like that.

"Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life;: And I will dwell in the house of the lord forever."

Best way for me to memorize is to WRITE it down, and more than once! Then tape it to my wall or mirror on a 3x5 card where I will SEE it several times a day, and SAY it out loud every time I see it. Then close my eyes and try to SAY it from memory, so I HEAR myself say it. Try and get as many senses involved as possible and soon it will stick! Try saying it a rap rhythm! Or some kind of music. That's why commercial jingles stick with you!

Music is why I memorized Matthew 11:28-30: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

What part do you struggle with?

You mean these ones?:

I usually accidentally omit: "He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake." Which is frustrating because that's the tagline on my blog so I see it often. "Following Him beside still waters - He restores my soul: He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake." How could I forget that part?!

And yes, "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life;: And I will dwell in the house of the lord forever." is the other part I seem to always forget.

I also started memorizing Matthew 6. The whole chapter. I never got past the Lord's Supper though.

"In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so i would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

Followed by John 14:3-5, which add context to both John 14:2 and John 14:6:

And if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; where I am there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know."
