I am in Foresthill and have used these containers for years, never had a bear open one. Small bite marks as well. Very interesting, because it would have had to chew a hole big enough to get through and pop the lid otherwise it would have to be smart enough to figure out to turn it, which of course would be a coon.

But coons have never bothered ours, so that is the interesting part. If you put some ammonia around the lid, the smell should drive them off. Also, you can put down some flour or something fine textured to see if you can pick up any prints.
