That's worrisome- something of the rodent variety, or something of the bug variety?

Make sure there is a perch in the coop long enough for all your birds to perch. Make sure your birds are perching at night. Put them up on the perch yourself if needed until they do it on there own. Chickens should not sleep on the ground at night!

There are only two in the coop right now, and they are both perching at night. I do go check on them almost every evening.
