So for a little backstory, I just got 2 black australorp hens about a week ago. They are both about 6 months old and are regularly laying eggs. They are already accepted into the flock I already had.
Yesterday I heard one of the new chickens yelling about something. I went to check on her and she seemed ok at the time. Today she's been drooping her wings a lot and she's been extra fluffy. She's still been grooming herself and she even layed an egg today. I just inspected her and she has a couple little scratches around her face, some broken feathers on the back of her neck, and her eye seems a bit off. The scratches are too fine to have been my dogs, so I assume it was my cat (it couldn't be a raccoon because my dogs were in the back yard with the flock at the time).
I'm not super worried about the little scratches, but her behavior and eye are bothering me. Does her eye seem off to you guys? Her other eye looks perfectly fine and healthy. Is there something I can do to help her not be droopy and fluffy? I really don't want to loose her.
