Hi, I am a somewhat new member. I joined last spring but have not really spent as much time on here as I would like to until now. I really enjoy reading everyone's stories and all the free advice. I live in eastern illinois and have been a chicken lover for 2 years now. I currently have Rhode Island Reds, Buff Orpingtons, Silver Laced Wyndottes, and some bantams. I am hoping to expand my flock this spring and am going to start incubating eggs. Any advice you have I would greatly appreciate and just getting to know you all will be great to!

Thanks
Hobbychick

my hobbies range from taking care of my children to riding my horse. I have been a vet tech for 8 years but i know stay at home and groom dogs. I have found there is more money grooming then working for someone else. It also frees me up to spend more time with my kids. Raising chickens is something I have just gotten into the past couple years. I love to set outside and watch them in their own little world. They talk to each other and seem to secretly have their own little community. It is amazing how they are. Most people look at them as just birds, but they seem to be so much more!!
