Hi,
I'm kind of new to chickens but have been around them for a while. My sister has had some unique breeds for a while that I've helped her with and it made me interested in having my own for egg production. I have 5 girls and a rooster; 3 dark brahma hens, 1 buff orpington hen, and 1 ameracauna hen. The rooster I dont know what he is.

I hope to learn more from y'all and be able to have a happy and healthy flock.

Aside from chickens we also have a bunny, 2 cats, and 2 dogs (both Borzoi).

Welcome! :yesss: We are glad you joined our flock!
Jump right in and make yourself at home.
I request pics of your dogs please.

I actually live in washington. Lenore is the golden one. The puppy is hers, his name is Moffat.

Pretty puppies. :love
How do they get along with the birds? Crazy Lady's are VERY interested, but haven't gone over the fence(yet). View attachment 1381267View attachment 1381268

Notice how they blend into their natural habitat?
Moffat is a little more accustomed to chickens (my sister has a video of a chicken eating out of the puppy food with the puppies when they were about 3 or 4 months old). Lenore can't be trusted so much with them. Maybe if shes supervised but she thinks they're fun to hunt and definitely can't be with them unsupervised.
Your pups are so pretty!

G'Day from down under tasteecakes :frowWelcome!

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

BYC has Topic of the Week discussions which I have found to be a great resource, informative and sometimes entertaining; so definitely worth checking out.

Your fur babies are beautiful! If you would like to share more Pictures and Stories of them and/or other critters, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)

Including your general location on your profile will assist others. Location, climate, season etc can be important factors when members are responding to any questions you may have and vice versa.

You might want to also Find Your State Thread and pop in and say hello.
