The interesting thing about being a RIDICULOUSLY short sighted bird nerd is how I've learnt to subconsciously take not of the colours of the bird around me and whether they common or abnormal etc.
After observing the galahs and corellas on my way into town this evening, I caught sight of a white and grey smudge on a power line and suddenly I was fixated. I had to turn around and go back to it because the fact home was right there did not win out over my curiosity.

I'm not sure exactly type of bird it is, but will find out in the morning.
(If you know/choose to google lens it, don't spoil it :( I like having a reason to pull out my bird book)
Let us know what it is once you know. I am curious myself. Interesting looking bird.

Very striking markings!
Maybe some small bird of prey? LoL, I don't have a bird book for Aussie birds so anxiously awaiting the answer 😁.
