son-in-law picked up eggs

My son=in=law picked up some eggs that were outside in a ditch and brought them to us to incubate. problem; we don't have an incubator. Is there any way to do it without one?
I don't know what they are. They are about the size of a chicken egg,kind of cream colored with lots of tiny speckles on them.
Frankly, I wish he would have left them alone! Any ideas?

There is no telling what they are or what temperatures are required to hatch them. Could be turtles, snakes, maybe a grouse or pheasant, or about anything else.

He should put them back where he got them. There is most likely a mother bird around that is getting ready to set on her nest.

They sound like turkey eggs to me.

Without an incubator unless he is willing to set on them I can't see how you can hatch them. I'd put them back.
