My daughter showed her chickens this weekend at the fair (4H). They were all in pretty rough shape due to molting, but she still ended up with Reserve Grand Champion in Beginner Showmanship! Her rooster got 4th in the crowing contest and 3rd in his class. Her 1 dozen colored eggs got 3rd in class as well. She is completely addicted to poultry showing now. She can't wait for next year. We'll be adding an Old English roo to the mix soon, and we brought home a silver spangled hamburg hen from the fair.
