I went to an animal swap looking for cage parts and rabbit stuff and did not bring any carriers on purpose.
I already have 2 incubators going, one to test my birds’ eggs and another with shipped eggs so I really don’t need more birds.

But,,,

A great guy and his wife had some pretty nice looking little birds. After walking around for a while and finding a cage for a good price I went back thinking maybe just 4 birds. Then decided 6 would give me a better chance of finding a nice keeper hen. Pay the couple and get a cardboard box with birds in it.
I get home, set up the brooder, open the box and find 12 babies!

I have been giving my best hatching eggs away for free just so I won’t hatch them and now I have 12 more + what ever hatches hoping to find a few nice birds’.

Anyone close to Dayton Ohio want a few birds or eggs to start with? If you have spent the time to learn about them, or had them before, Free
I am paring down to the ones I want to keep so they won’t be the best of the best but still are very nice healthy birds.

You should know better, as anyone that goes to a swap where there is ANY possibilities that birds will be present, that you ARE going to come home with something, even if they are PLANTED there!!!
