Some of our hens have lost their feathers on their butts and some of the areas look sore. Have been getting one egg that has blood on the shell. Have seen some pecking on the bare areas. Today we put some Peck No More on them. Could this be caused by mites and if so, what can we do to help them and so all the rest don't have the same problem. Thanks for any advice you can give up.

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! You might like to post in the Emergencies forum about your hens.
www.backyardchickens.com/f/10/emergencies-diseases-injuries-and-cures If you can post a picture it might help.
It sounds like you have feather picking which is turning in to vent picking going on. Do check for lice and mites but feather picking by other birds usually has other causes, how is the coop space, overcrowding can cause picking/pecking issues, if space is OK then are they bored (give them things to do) are they lacking protein (what are you feeding), you may want to consider Pinless Peepers to stop it asap, especially if you have some hens that are bullys https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/bullying-behavior-in-chickens Spray the sore areas with something like Blu-Kote and separate any hens that are bloody so the other hens don't cannibalize them.

Welcome to BYC!

Kelsie X2 This could be aggression causing them to pluck the feathers off each others butts. If you have a ladder for a roost in your coop, sometimes the lower birds pluck the feathers from the birds above them. Use Blu-kote on the butts and figure out who is causing all the troubles and separate them out or use pinless peepers on them. I have a hen that used to have to wear these a lot when she was young as she was aggressive with the other hens.

Good luck and keep us posted!

Glad you joined us! X2 on the Blu-kote, it will mask the redness that hens find so attractive. I may also help if you can identify the culprit and
separate her so the others can heal.
