I've been on the fence with our SL Wyandotte since it really started filling out. I always thought hen, but the long legs, slimmer build and upright posture keeps me thinking. It does have a "fuzzy" butt, and gets along just fine with our Barred Rock hen. The comb and wattles are less developed than the BR and they're the same age (almost 4 mos). Am I right with my hen guess or is it a cockerel? The BR has been steadily laying smaller eggs, and the Wyandotte has yet to lay anything. Thoughts?

Looks like a hen to me. Normal start to egg laying is 18 to 20 weeks so she has time. Keep in mind that some start to lay earlier than this and some MUCH later than this. Pretty bird, by the way.

Good! Glad to see it's a she..lol. Just the posture made me nervous, plus she's a lot more athletic than our BR. Thank you very much everyone.
