Sorry guys. Another vent - this one about ebay

Ok. After I got the item and tested it it was DOA. It was a laptop charger. I tried multiple things to see if it would work but nope! Waited for a response and nothing after 3 days. Gave a neg. After that he said that if I get a refund would I remove the neg feedback. I said yes. Well after the refund I was bout to remove the neg feedback and i saw 1 alert for an unpaid item strike.

anyway it was a charger that was dead on arrival. Took it out of the package. plugged it in with no go. Thats what happens when you buy form hong kong I guess?

Ah.. okay I understand now. Well - upon receiving your full refund, do as you promised and remove the negative - and have the seller do the same if they gave you a negative. If however you only received an "Unpaid Buyer Strike" that isnt really anything to worry about because you can prove you paid for said item through PayPal (assuming you used it, correct?) and eBay will take care of the rest. Honor your committment if the seller honored theirs and refunded.

Lesson: never buy electronic items from overseas even if the price is cheaper - they usually never work

Lol. I understand that now. I bought an MP4 player from HK with no worries. Thing still works for me but the charger did not work from the start. I bought another one with a 1 year warranty. Hopefully if I remove the neg feedback he will get rid of the strike. What I dont get is why would he put a strike on me after he gave me a refund?I was nice and polite about it as well?

perhaps he thought you didnt pay and got you confused with another buyer, forgetting he offered a refund. Then again, did you give him a negative after not hearing from him for 3 days and before he offered that refund or after? If he'd already left you a "positive" feedback for payment, it would be his only retaliation against you for that negative. It isnt right on his behalf by any means as you paid for the item, however - if the seller didnt offer any refunds and the item is "as is" or insurance/warranty is extra and you refused to purchase - and it arrived DOA, yet you wanted a refund anyway - then that is your fault. Then again - if the seller graciously offers refunds and stated he would issue you said refund, did so, and you gave him a negative anyway..... well...

Just go thru eBay / PayPal and see what cant be done. Try to discuss with the seller as politely as possible and go from there. The written word is very hard to "hear" and given you are going from one culture to another - its even more difficult sometimes.

Good luck and remember you get more flies with honey than with vinegar

Thanks henny. I waited 3 days after sending 5 emails. I did not know what to do and I have a 7 day money back guarantee. After waiting for 3 days I said forget it and gave a neg. He gave a positive last week after I paid. I am always honest in my feedback. I dont ever sugar coat or anything. I just have to wait and see what happens I guess. I should win the case since I paid and he did give a refund.

Well I revised my negative and he took off the unpaid item claim. I had to leave a positive. I wrote "Refunded money but gave me an unpaid item strike? Blackmailed me in order to remove it"

Ebay is fine when you find an honest seller. Then you have the ones who are rude, obnoxious and downright dirty. Luckily this is the only guy that got me on my account. my moms and brothers account has seen alot of bad sellers. You just have to know who to work with I guess?

Just when you think its over. I now have a bigger problem. Since he did a dispute on me paypal is holding all my funds. They denied my ebay fees and my funds for a movie. This guy is making it worse for me. I was negative $0.73 in my paypal account so I paid that to go back to $0.00 She said the funds should be sent out in a few days. This keeps getting better and better. Do not buy from "cenyonline" unless you want to go what I am going through. I never had this kind of hassle before!
