(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
When I was young my parents had chickens for maybe 4 or 5 years.some years we got layer hens and other years we'd have meat birds but 1 or 2 years we'd have around 100 layers and up to 500 or 600 meat birds.
I bought some chickens and chicks last summer but due to living in town I had them at a friend's place but I am now working on constructing a coop and some fenced in outdoor areas.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I've got around 20 but I have chicks pre order for April.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Americana
Buff Orpington
Speckled Sussex
Barred Plymouth Rock
Black Copper Maran
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Having neat companions to chill with
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Drawing, physical exercise and reading
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I am the oldest child in my family. I have only sisters and we have goats, a horse, some cats, a dog and some guppy fish
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
