SOS CHICKEN TOE FELL OFF

Do you know if it will grow back? And if so when?
It might, or might not.
Have had several birds lose a toenail, most grew back tho a couple were a bit funky.
Could take at least a few weeks to see if it is growing back in.

Well I had a chick who lost her toenail (she had a huge lump of dirt on the end of her toe that stopped circulation). She still doesn't have it back after 10 weeks and I'm not sure if she ever will, but now it's her special thing

I had a chicken who caught her toenail jumping over a chainlink fence. It did not grow back. I still suspect that your chicken may have had some slight frostbite, but it looks like she will be fine. I have had chickens lose a tip of the toe from frostbite, when temps reach near zero.

Oh my!! I think she’s ok. Put some anti fungal spray or some nepsporin on it and wrap it in gauze and vetwrap. If you need to soak it you can do so. You need to wait to see how it heals. Best of luck!
How long should I keep her inside for? I don’t want her to get too used to the warm because then she may have a hard time adjusting to outside.
