I'm not really sure what happened to her or if I'm allowed to also post about turkeys however I came home to her butt torn open from what I can only assume if from the neighbor's dog. I'm not sure if she will survive. I separated her from the flock I just need some advice on what to do from here. I have also spayed it with salt water to clean the area and help prevent infection.

Did you clean it??

Wow, normally I would suggest flushing and treating the wound, but thats very deep. I'm going to leave that to the pro's.
For now, you need to treat for shock. Bring her inside in a calm area. Place her in a dog crate away from the other birds. Will she eat or drink? Do you have Nutri-drench? Offer her some wetted down feed, and sugar water. The sugar water will help her recover from shock. You can also offer Gatorade.

Unfortunately, I don't have much experience with such severe injuries. I'm not sure how much you can do. Hopefully the members tagged will be more helpful. Crossing my fingers for your girl. :fl

That is not from a dog, unfortunately hens can be aggressive to other hens. They will sometimes do what you pictured to another hen. This is also a fatal wound as the vent has been removed.
What makes you think it was not a dog attack? Hens can be harsh, but not like this unless the birds has already died, they are starving, or the bird is dying. I do not think the other hens caused this.

I actually agree - doesn't look like a dog-inflicted wound to me.
I agree that it doesn't look like a dog. Looking at it more closely, no feathers were removed, and this typically isn't were a dog would attack. If this hen is healthy though, I highly doubt that other birds did this "for fun". Was she previously injured in that spot OP?

You can google it

You can google for confirmation, this is a somewhat rare occurrence, however it is textbook vent removal by other hens.
