I have ducklings and i'm building the coop.
Just in case the ducks get too loud, am i able to soundproof the coop?
Where can i get soundproof insulation?

Why are you wanting to sound proof their coop? They dont crow like a rooster. When I had mine they were pretty quiet.

You can buy these at camping stores and Walmart. Attach it firmly to ceiling and high enough on walls so fowl cannot get to it and eat it. This works VERY well for sound absorption. I have seen these used in rooms for band practices. You can barely hear them outside the room unless amplified.

thanks!

The above baffling looks great, and we used just simple r13 in our walls and r19 in the floor of our chicken coop, although it wasn't done for 'soundproofing' I can certainly say that it greatly dampens the noise of the flock, even though the crowing is still audible it is greatly reduced just with standard insulation. As stated before though, complete soundproofing really isn't feasible because of ventilation needs.

Good luck and let us know if you like the end result of whatever method you choose.
