these poults are 14 weeks old they have a snotty sounding hacking cough that started 3 days ago. 4 poults are showing signs of this out of 10 right now.The one laid out isn't dead it was standing hunched up and now that's all it's got. What should I start looking at to fix this.
Respiratory and will need antibiotics is my guess. @casportpony
I had a BBB hen that got over it on her own. But she was a year old and I was planning on eating her in a couple months. So I didn't want any antibiotics in her.
Do you know if these antibiotics are something that tractor supply may have or something only a vet could prescribe. Only reason I ask there are no "bird"vets here but I have a large animal vet right down the road from me maybe he could take a stab at it by seeing their condition.
The baytril had them basically cleared up on day one. Giving .5 ml doses. Their heads were swollen and they were sulked up. This morning they were running around normally with only 3 still showing signs of mucus and coughing. I brought them home with me to finish the baytril and bought some tylan 50 to start if they run out of this.
